The stars were out in their finest on Saturday for the 30th Anniversary Carousel of Hope Ball in Beverly Hills. The fundraiser, which benefitted the Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes, attracted quite a few former A-listers--many of whom made a fashion faux pas or two.
DO Play up post-baby curves with a low-cut, curve-hugging gown.
Nearly everyone agrees that pregnancy was one of the best things to happen to Nicole Richie. She looked stunning in a bronze Reem Acra gown.
DON'T show up in a gown that could pass for a nightie. Satin-like fabrics often draw unwanted attention to minor bulges.
Holly Robinson-Peete is a beautiful lady, but her peach-hued gown is neither exciting nor flattering.
DO attend a red carpet event with your mom. So cute!
Actress Dakota Johnson is flirty in an asymmetrical party dress, while Melanie Griffith looks elegant in a Versace Fall 2008 gown.
DON'T wear a dress so long you accidentally step on it while attempting to look sexy.
Lisa Rinna is apparently trying to take attention away from her gigantic lips. Speaking of lips...
DON'T mess around with collagen, Restylane, Juvederm, or whatever it is that did this to Lara Flynn Boyle's face.
DO choose beautiful, seasonal neutral shades like Melanie Brown's pale peach Zuhair Murad gown.
DON'T be Jason Davis. Weight loss or no, the guy always manages to look like a complete and total creepster.
DO be a Jonas Brother. It seems these kids can't do any wrong. Annoying.
